On December 4, 2000 with changing of the Constitution, parliamentary system took over the party presidental system. The Parliament was once again awarded its historical name Croatian Parliament. |

On March 28, 2001 new changes within the constitution abolished the Chamber of Counties, i.e. the Croatian Parliament became a one-chambered Parliament. |
