Annual International Seminar on "Women in Politics"

Since 1996, Ženska infoteka is organizing annual seminar from the series "Women and politics", which brings together women from Easter Europe, Former Soviet Union Republics and Middle East.
Working together during the seminar, women from the region have an opportunity to contribute their particular knowledge about their respective countries, present their researches, develop common, regional researches, exchange information and learn from each other. Publishing documentation books of the proceedings of the seminar, as has been the case so far, helps in spreading ideas and knowledge presented during each seminar. By cooperating with women politicians from German Green Party and similar European parties or movements and with experts for the gender democracy and women's policy issues, the international seminar will also be instrumental as a transfer of knowledge and experience from both sides. This will also open room for common projects and work.
Ženska infoteka organizes each seminar in cooperation with the Heinrich Boell Stiftung i Inter-University Center from Dubrovnik and WISE - Women International Studies Europe.
The very first seminar was held in Zagreb in 1996, but ever since, the seminar takes place in the city of Dubrovnik.
